FAQ

When will my package arrive?

There are several ways to check the status of your shipment:

Use your tracking number to track your package. If you don’t have one of those numbers, you can use a reference number related to your package or freight shipment, or any purchase order number.

When you track your package, you’ll see your scheduled delivery date with a near real-time status, and for eligible FedEx packages, you’ll see an estimated delivery time window. If you don’t see an estimated delivery time window, that information may not be available for that particular package.

How do I know what time my Express® package will arrive?

To get an estimated delivery time, you can use your tracking number to track your package. If you don’t have one of those numbers, you can use any reference number related to your package, or any purchase order number.

After you enter your number in the tracking tool, you’ll see your scheduled delivery date and an estimated delivery time window. If you don’t see an estimated delivery time window, that information may not be available for that particular package.

How can I track the exact location of my package?

You can track your package. to get status information with near real-time tracking and see an estimated delivery time window for eligible shipments

Why isn’t my package moving when I check tracking?

Packages are scanned at various points between pickup and delivery. The frequency of scans varies, and it’s not unusual for a shipment to go more than 24 hours without an update while it’s on its way to the final destination. This is especially true during periods of long travel. It can appear that your package isn’t moving, but it’s actually in transit to the next location where it will be scanned and/or delivered.

What do I do if I don’t have a tracking number?

If you don’t have a tracking number, you can still track your package by using a reference number associated with your shipment, or a purchase order number.

What do I do if I missed my delivery?

If you missed your delivery, we’ll leave a door tag for you. It has a number that’s associated with your package’s original tracking number and the steps you can take to locate your package. You can use your door tag information to track your shipment

Enter your door tag number into our online tracking tool.

In some cases, when a package can’t be left at a residential address (e.g., it requires a signature or the driver can’t find a secure spot), we’ll deliver it to a nearby participating retail partner. It will be held for pickup as early as the same day of your missed delivery attempt. Packages not picked up within 7 days will be returned to our warehouse

If your package wasn’t automatically redirected, and you don’t want to wait for a reattempted delivery, you can request that your package be redirected to a nearby location or participating retail location. You’ll need your tracking number or door tag number to submit the request.

If I missed a delivery, how do I know when you’ll reattempt to deliver my package?

We’ll reattempt to deliver your package the following day. Generally, we make deliveries from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday–Friday, and on Saturday and Sunday for residential deliveries.

to submit a request. You’ll need your tracking number or door tag number.

If your delivery requires a signature, and you’re worried you might miss a reattempted delivery, check the back of your door tag. You may have the option to fill out a form and leave it with your signature. This authorizes us to deliver your package the next business day, even if you’re not there.

What does the “delivery now pending” status mean?

If your shipment’s delivery status is “now pending,” it means delivery commitments were changed based on some type of delay and our efforts to mitigate that delay. You can track your package.
